GENESIS OF A SUPERFRUIT

The "Noah" Cultivar

The World's Only All-Season Gac Fruit Supply —

No Seasonal Limitations – Here in Malaysia

At the heart of our corporate
ecosystem lies our crowning
agricultural achievement:
the “Noah” cultivar.

As the first dedicated Gac fruit research and development organisation, we spent over five years studying and refining Gac cultivation, supported by more than ten research collaborations with academic institutions. The result was the development of a proprietary variety adapted to Malaysia’s equatorial growing conditions.

With 100 acres of Gac fruit orchards across eight operational farms in Malaysia, Gac Biotech Group has established a dedicated commercial cultivation base for Gac fruit. With approximately 200 female plants per acre and a monthly yield of 4,000 kg, this cultivation base provides a foundation for the Group’s ongoing research, processing and product development. This scale strengthens our position as one of the region’s dedicated Gac fruit medical plantations and supports a stable, vertically integrated supply for global markets.

Why Noah?

Named after the historical symbol of salvation and the preservation of life, the “Noah” cultivar was developed to overcome some of the limitations associated with conventional Gac fruit, from inconsistent yields and thicker rinds to lower aril content and seasonal availability.

Our research teams spent years isolating and cultivating resilient, nutrient-dense strains to develop a proprietary cultivar well adapted to Malaysia’s rich soils and equatorial growing conditions.

The Noah Advantage

Anatomical Superiority

Features a thinner exterior rind and a more generous yield of nutrient-rich red aril, supporting greater processing efficiency.

Malaysia Breed

• Fully covered in thorn
• Average/medium sized
• Round shaped

Mexocarp

• Thick and yellow
• Occupies nearly 50% of the weight of a fruit, plays the role of a shell to protect the arils inside

Aril

• The inner aril surrounding the seeds contains more oil moisture
• Mild sweet taste similar to tomato paste
• Odourless

Malaysia Breed

• Fully covered in thorn
• Average/medium sized
• Round shaped

Pulp

• Soft inner fruit tissue
surrounding the seeds

Seed

• Flat, hard and brown or black
• Typically have a characteristic
patterned surface

Seed Nibs

• Inner kernel of the seed,
containing naturally occurring
oils and nutrients

Flavour Optimisation

Subtly sweet with notes of cherry and vine-ripened tomato, offering a more palatable profile for functional foods and beverages.

Climatic Resilience

Developed for continuous harvesting throughout the year under Malaysian tropical conditions, supporting a more consistent commercial supply chain.
